About me
Rodrigo Miranda
Head of Motion and Video Production at VGW, based in Sydney.
Motion designer → video production manager → agency co-founder → in-house creative leader
I lead VGW’s Motion and Video Production team, shaping creative across Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Casino, Global Poker and Monopoly Match. My remit connects creative direction, brand and performance marketing, production and technology. Across sport, music and entertainment partnerships, I develop concepts and guide specialist agencies and production partners.
I built the team from the ground up. Today it’s seven people with skills spanning editing, animation, illustration, VFX, 3D and sound design. I work with team leads to develop people, maintain creative standards and give them ownership of delivery, while staying close to key creative decisions.
I bring stakeholders together to shape how partnerships serve the brand portfolio, balancing audience fit, brand distinctiveness, commercial priorities and production capacity. For Monopoly Match, I led the development of our production approach for VGW’s first fully native mobile product, supporting the move to bring more work in-house.
Performance, automation and production workflows
Performance and creative learning
I connect audience insight and campaign performance with the next round of concepts and variations. My work includes establishing creative reporting, consistent asset naming and classification, and regular feedback sessions with marketing, helping the team identify patterns and apply what we learn to future creative decisions.
Automation and AI
I lead the development of reusable creative workflows, templates and automation across campaign rollouts, using platforms including Celtra and Smartly.io. AI is part of that work: evaluating and integrating tools where they can support concept exploration, production and iteration, with creative judgement and brand standards guiding their use.
Remote production architecture
I have designed the architecture for a fully remote production pipeline using AWS, Arch, LucidLink and Frame.io, connecting cloud workstations, shared production files and review workflows. The aim is to give distributed specialists a practical way to collaborate on demanding video, VFX and 3D work, with production resources that can adapt to the project.
Before VGW, I co-founded Pixel Inbound, working with clients including Facebook, BBC, Mastercard and Universal Pictures. Earlier, I managed commercial video production across Asia-Pacific at Corporate Theatre, after starting as a motion designer in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
